Early Summer Wedding at Vinology | Downtown Ann Arbor

This sunny celebration unfolded between the beautiful St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church and Vinology, where A & A transformed the entire space for an unforgettable night of celebration. They opted for a sweet, traditional ceremony, and the anticipation from the groom as the bride walked down the aisle was palpable. While they skipped the first look, we made excellent use of the time between the ceremony and reception for a relaxed portrait session on the iconic University of Michigan campus. As a Ann Arbor wedding photographer, I spend so much time photographing around campus-it’s my favorite! The lush greenery and historic buildings provided a stunning backdrop for capturing their wedding party portraits. And let me tell you, the party at Vinology was unforgettable! The couple also embraced the summer shutdown on Main St, where we did their sunset photos surrounded by twinkle lights and the cheers of diners at the local restaurants. As a lovely personal touch, A & A surprised everyone with a wandering guitarist from California who serenaded them throughout the day and through the first dance – it added such a romantic and intimate touch to the celebration. From the heartfelt ceremony to the joyful reception filled with music (mixed by the incredible Block Party) and laughter, this wedding was a true testament to love, and capturing it all was an absolute joy!
